Arab Environment Day ’22 @ Primary Wing
Love the planet, serve the planet, heal the planet!
Arab Environment Day is a perfect reminder of the need to work together to rally behind the common goal of saving the environment and finding new solutions for existing and emerging problems faced in this side of the globe.
Apart from facing various environmental challenges, new problems are emerging, ranging from the increase in the amount of electronic waste accumulating, to the impact of climate change on the rapidly increasing demand for energy, to the conservation of plants and animals in UAE.
We, at Delhi Private School Sharjah Primary wing observed a ‘Paperless Pause Day’ on 13th October throughout the premises. The day began with a brief presentation on E-Waste Educative Awareness 2022 in reaching UAE zero waste by 2030. By simply replacing paper with digital and hands-on activities, Dipsites measurably reduced their carbon footprint emphasizing the fact that in today’s world we can change our existing practices into green, sustainable solutions.
The day further saw fun activities like making of traditional dresses and food using clay and foam plates, storytelling, quizzes, games, interactive online activities to enhance learning. All this without any use of paper! By the end of the day, children learnt to be more sustainable and caring for the environment.
