Net Zero Heroes

“Unite. Act. Deliver.”

Sashini Manikandan of 10H and Kanshika Manikandan of 4K, have proved their mettle against 364 youth climate activists and have been recognized as one of the 35 ‘Net Zero Heroes’ by the Ministry of Education and UNICEF at COP 28.

The Net Zero Heroes Program is an initiative to identify and train potential climate leaders of the future. Our students underwent professional training in sustainability and children’s rights from experts in the field and were invited to attend sessions at the Greening Education Hub at the Mobility District, Expo City, Dubai COP 28.

Sashini was selected as a speaker for the official panel discussion to discuss the future of youth climate diplomacy and advocacy with other activists.

Both were honored for their efforts in the sustainability sector by H.E. Dr. Amna Al Dahak Al Shamsi (Assistant Undersecretary for the Care & Capacity Building Sector at the Ministry of Education in the UAE) and Mr. Eltayeb Adam (UNICEF Representative to the Gulf Region) in a glittering ceremony. We congratulate both of our students for their amazing work!
