GLOBAL RECYCLING DAY – 2024

“Recycling turns useless things into useful things, which is like magic”.

Global Recycling Day, observed annually on March 18th, serves as a platform to recognize, and celebrate the crucial role recycling plays in conserving our primary resources and safeguarding the future of our planet. In alignment with this purpose, the primary wing of DPS Sharjah commemorated “Global Recycling Day” by organizing a collection drive for plastic bottles, newspapers, old uniforms, and books.

Through this initiative, aimed at raising awareness, the head boy and vice head boy actively engaged with younger students, emphasizing the significance of recycling. The drive garnered a tremendous response from students, teachers, and staff members.

This endeavour not only exemplifies how individuals can positively recycle plastic waste, old books, and uniforms but also encourages the community to take small steps towards environmental sustainability. We extend our heartfelt pride to our students, staff, and parenting community whose collective efforts made this drive a resounding success. Their invaluable contributions were instrumental in realizing our shared commitment to a cleaner environment.
