@AUS Environment Day Winners!

From the jeopardy quiz challenge and the creativity-filled video-making competition to an eye-opening panel discussion about various fields in environmental sciences, our 12th-grade biology students from Delhi Private School Sharjah had an enlightening experience at the American University of Sharjah’s Environment Day event. They immersed themselves in a world of sustainability, unravelling the complexities of environmental issues and discovering actionable solutions. Together, they’re paving the way for a greener tomorrow!

The ambitious Grade 12 Girls’ team “Hydrangea” consisting of Jiya Neekhra (12 A), Eesha Pradeep (12 A), Yashika Narula (12 C), Purvi Kulkarni (12 A), Isha (12 A) and the determined Boys’ team “Quizzardz” consisting of Zulfiqar Rokadia (12M), Mohammed Zaid (12 L), Abhinav Biju (12M), Advaith Prashant (12 L) and Rafey Faroouqi (12 L) had given an extremely tough fight showcasing their amazing skills and knowledge on the subjects of Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Sciences in the qualifying round The Boys Team “Quizzardz” secured THE WINNERS in the qualifying round with the tied-highest marks obtained scoring a 27/30, and things were only smooth sailing from there. They flew past the first round of the Kahoot quiz and created a gap of more than 1000 points! During the intense jeopardy round, Team “Quizzardz” took a gamble and put 6000 of their 7000 points on the line for the final question and got it right! Securing them the title of the winners of the AUS Environment Day Jeopardy Quiz competition. This team was backed throughout by the brilliant and unwavering supporting squad of the 12th Biology students.

The Phase 4A coordinator Ms.Shalu who accompanied the students also bagged the 3rd prize in the teachers’ Environment Quiz.

We are extremely proud that this grand event was a success. We not only take back awards from this grand event but also a great amount of learning, experience, and enthusiasm!
