Comfort vs. Conservation: The Big Debate at EcoGen Confluence 2025

What are you willing to sacrifice for a greener planet? That was the burning question at the center of EcoGen Confluence 2025. This year’s event wasn’t just a meeting; it was a powerful celebration of sustainability and a showcase of the sharpest young minds at our school.

The Future Forum Debate The highlight of the day was the Future Forum Debate, where two dynamic teams tackled the polarizing topic: “Is Giving Up Comfort Necessary for a Sustainable Future?” The exchange was intense and thought-provoking. After a brilliant display of rhetoric and logic:

Best Team: Proposition (Ananya Manikandan, Faiza Aziz, Kashf Hasan, Tanya Vivek, Saptaparna Deb)

Best Speaker (Proposition): Kashf Hasan (9F)

Best Speaker (Opposition): Meer Shamdasani (10I)

Our Environment Council Presidents, Trinabh Sahani and Shareen Kaur, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, but the real gratitude goes to the students who debated with such passion and the teachers who lead the way.

We were honored to have our Vice Principal, Mr. Rajeev, and Head Mistress, Ms. Monica Chelani, present awards to our outstanding contributors. We also celebrated our Phase Sustainability Coordinators for their year-round dedication:

Phase 1: Ms. Mrinal Bhatia | Phase 2: Ms. Aswathy Santhan

Phase 3: Ms. Deepthy Subheesh | Phase 4A: Ms. Shalu Chhimpa | Phase 4B: Ms. Priyanka Verma

The event concluded with a beautiful musical performance, leaving everyone with a sense of purpose and a reminder that small actions today shape a greener tomorrow.
